Fans saw the start of his fitness venture in season 1, where he tipped the scales at 406 pounds. Despite some mental and physical setbacks along the way, Amy was able to get on track and be approved for gastric bypass surgery in 2019 after following her doctor’s diet and exercise plan.

“Surgery does not guarantee that someone will not only lose weight but keep the weight off, and we have seen that,” he noted. “From what I see, he has made no further efforts for her health. We are almost at a standstill at the moment. “
