Actor Harry Lenix has responded to Will Smith’s call to return his Oscar after the infamous slap, saying Smith must “redeem integrity” from the Academy Awards.
“Right now, the only person who can defend the integrity of the Oscars is Smith himself. He must be caught with the gravity of the crime he committed: slapping the rock, live in front of millions on the stage of the March 27 Academy Awards.

“Smith will have to declare his gold trophy back to the academy and say something publicly: ‘For the 94 years of honor bestowed on this award, I do not consider myself worthy of being its defender.'”
The ‘blacklisted’ actor also shared his lack of praise Will Smith Later that evening took the speech.
Of the many uncomfortable things to say after the slap, the one that struck me most was the mention of a high-powered effect during his surrealistic speech when he won for his work in less than an hour of “King Richard”. The decision was not to expel Smith. “
