The Duchess of Cambridge joined the Earl and Countess of Wessex on Wednesday. They hosted a Buckingham Palace Garden Party. I wondered why previous palace garden parties were hosted by members of the elderly royal family (excuse me). Surely thousands of people who bring out these things want to see one of their royalties? So there was Kate, making it interesting at a garden party. She wore a new coatdress and everything.
For her styling … the coddress is Emilia Weeksted, and I’m sure she has (easily) eleven versions of it in different colors. That being said, it’s beautiful. I have always loved Kate in such bright, saturated colors. She desperately wants her “signature color” to be a shade of royal blue, but warm red, coral and burgundy make her look so much more beautiful. He often goes pastel, which is embarrassing because see how good the coral looks to him. The matching fascinator is also very good. I really like her big drop earrings. I don’t know if they are diamonds, but if they are, they are expensive !! I bet they are white sapphires or something.
However, the BP Garden parties are being hosted by various members of the royal family this year because the Queen did not want to be a part of the garden party szn. It’s interesting (to me) that William and Kate weren’t assigned to host a party together, did they? I mean, future kings and queens, modernization of the monarchy is a button at a time, that’s exactly what they should do. I do not think so.
