I’ve been laughing since the news came out, it’s really the funniest thing. You all know how Salt Island threw a full blown melodramatic frenzy all week about the Duke of Sussex and the Duchess’s visit to the Netherlands? Do you all know the royal reporters’ argument that “Harry dared not bother to meet his grandmother”? Well, Harry and Meghan stop near Windsor Castle on Thursday morning, (apparently) crossing the Atlantic on Tuesday or Wednesday. They stopped to see Queen Elizabeth II, then they left and flew to The Hague, where they were fully booked for a few days.
6: A Sussex spokesman confirms that before arriving in The Hague InvictusGamesNL, Prince Harry and Duchess Megan stopped to meet the Queen in the UK this morning. It was a Windsor tour that their team recently revealed Duke “hoped to do”.

Go see Harry and Meghan the Queen. A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “We can confirm that they met with the Duke’s grandmother, as we had said before. She stopped at the United Kingdom on her way to The Hague to attend The Invictus Games.

The best part is that none of the royal journalists had any idea. No one has leaked this tour ahead of time, which tells me that Kensington Palace had no idea – and William and Kate are still on vacation – and I guess Clarence House probably wasn’t told. This is exactly what Harry called his grandmother “Meg and I want to stop on our way to the Netherlands, but we’ll only do that if you can keep the tour down.” And the queen was such that “I can, I can’t wait to see you.” He did not inform anyone and did not inform his associates. Disgusting. There are apparently no pictures. Which royal journalists care the most, visual. Now those same journalists have to argue with the fact that Harry and Meghan stopped just to see the Queen and not anyone else and left no trace of the King.
Mail’s coverage is historical because as they try to detail every major “controversy” for Sussex, everyone admits that the Queen was probably too happy to meet them, her beloved grandson and his wife. The Mail further claims that Harry and Meghan actually arrived on Wednesday and spent a quiet night at Frogmore’s cottage with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, after which Sussex moved to the castle. It is alleged that the church members saw them at the Royal Mount service. If that timeline is correct, then Harry and Meghan scheduled their visit when they knew Charles and Camilla were busy too (Charles did the Mondi Money thing at church). The Mail also states that Archie and Lilibet were not traveling with them and were probably at home in Montesito.
For today’s activities, Harry and Megan have a complete schedule in The Hague. They are meeting with the Ukrainian Invictus group, and They are scheduled to attend At the back-to-back reception. One reception invites friends and family, and another reception hosted by the city and the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
