Police in San Jose, California are searching for a man who abducted a 3-month-old baby while his grandmother was unloading groceries from his car.
Police say the man entered an apartment while the grandmother was out and abducted the child on Monday afternoon.
Surveillance Video At around 1am on Monday, a man was seen walking on the sidewalk carrying a baby wrapped in a white blanket.
The baby’s name is Brandon Queller. Her mother was at work at the time of the abduction. The child’s father is imprisoned.
Grandma had just left Brandon’s carrier inside the apartment and went out to unload groceries from a car.
“In that short time, someone enters the apartment … and takes the baby away,” said a San Jose police sergeant. Christian Camrillo during a press conference one afternoon.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has joined in the search for the unidentified man. Kidnapping is a federal crime.
The FBI has been known to go door-to-door to monitor surveillance videos or identify potential witnesses who have seen the man wandering outside.
California Highway Patrol Posted a picture Suspicious vehicle, a 2011 Silver Nissan Quest with license plate 7HWF353.
